Just what do you need when looking for a new sleeping bag. Something comfy, and really cushioned is certainly hot as well. Of course it is. Styles like this will pad everything to ensure that you are ultra comfy, and this leaves you wrapped up and extremely well insulated too. Which means, a lot of the time, you will be way too warm. Incredibly hot during the night time, but freezing should you kick the cover away. This is not ideal.
So, obviously, buying a sleeping bag that will help keep you comfortable is not always best. One issue, other than the excessive warmth and heat, will be the weight. A padded and comfy sleeping bag is not going to be featherweight. Additionally, it isn't usually very easy to put away. Additional cushioning usually means much more bulk and a lot more mass means a lot longer trying to pack ones sleeping bag away in to the little bag they provide you with. This is not ideal either.
Thus I recommend, during the summer at the very least, going for a really light-weight sleeping bag and then purchasing some form of cushioned ground sheet for making your rest far more comfortable. Floor mats will rollup quickly each time. A large cumbersome sleeping bag may not. And fighting to shrink your sleeping bag in a super little ball is never fun. Especially when you lose the battle.

And so i kept with Snugpak and purchased one of the special forces varieties with a website named Polimil. I will also be investing in a cushioned floor sleeping pad, to make the bottom of the camping tents a tad bit more appealing this tenting season.
